Denise Vasquez is an award-winning writer, artist, actress, comedian, singer-songwriter, guitarist, author, and photographer whose work inspires, entertains, and sparks meaningful conversation. Known for her captivating energy, heartfelt storytelling, and thought-provoking performances, Denise has earned recognition across multiple creative disciplines.

Her awards and honors include her original Sci-Fi drama series, KARMA IS COMING, which she wrote and stars in. The series recently won Best Web Series and Best Trailer at the 2026 Zeal International Film Festival in Paris and was also recognized as a Semi-Finalist for Best Actress and Best Short Script.

Her career achievements also include the Inspired Creator Award, Worthy Works Award, five ASCAP Plus Awards, the Songwriters Monthly Future Chartists Award, a Westlake Studios Artist Development Deal, and a publicity campaign award from Audioxposure. She has been featured on Music Connection magazine's Hot 100 List for six consecutive years, nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year by the LA Music Awards, nominated for five Mavric Music Awards, and recognized by the Recording Academy in five categories, among many other accomplishments.

Born and raised in New York City, Denise has traveled the world sharing her talents and passion while living in Scotland, England, the U.S. Virgin Islands, California, and now Nevada.

For more than five decades, Denise has performed in comedy, acting, music, dance, improv, and sketch comedy. She first stepped onto a stage at age four and instantly discovered her creative home. In the 1990s, she was cast in Joy Newman's Grown Ups Playground, performing improv at the New York Comedy Club. Her stand-up comedy career began in 2013, quickly leading to bookings on shows and festivals nationwide.

Denise has hosted, produced, and performed in numerous live events, including her WO+MEN 4 APPLAUSE comedy and music variety shows at Flappers Comedy Club, the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Ladies Night Music Festivals in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, Social Butterfly Night in Hollywood, WO+MEN 4 A Cause events in Los Angeles and Arizona, and Observations at The Duplex Cabaret in New York City.

After a workplace accident left her in a wheelchair for three years, Denise's performing career was temporarily interrupted. Today, she is standing up again—literally and creatively—embodying the resilience celebrated in her original song, "Back On Track."

A multidisciplinary writer, Denise's work spans television, film, comedy, poetry, journalism, music, and visual storytelling. Since childhood, she has written monologues, plays, songs, sketches, poetry, and short stories exploring social issues, human experiences, and cultural commentary, reflecting her commitment to creating art with purpose.

Denise also creates original sketches, scenes, shorts, and stand-up comedy content for SCENEarios on YouTube and Instagram, tackling topics such as womanhood, disability, relationships, internet culture, and her experiences as a proud New-You-Rican.
